BLACKPINK's Jennie secured her first Korean music show trophy for her latest solo release, adding to the global momentum surrounding her new album.

Jennie's track "like JENNIE," the title song from her first solo full-length album Ruby, claimed first place on the March 20 broadcast of Mnet's M Countdown. The singer did not appear on the program, but won the top spot based on cumulative points.

"like JENNIE" emphasizes Jennie's distinctive personality and artistry, with the BLACKPINK member participating in both the songwriting and composition. The song conveys a message of confidently walking one's own path, recognizing that no one else can replace you when you remain true to your individuality.

The win follows significant international chart performances. On Billboard's latest rankings dated March 22, Ruby debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album's title track "like JENNIE" entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 83.

Jennie also made history as the first K-pop female solo artist to chart three songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100. Album tracks "Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa)" and "ExtraL (feat. Doechii)" placed at No. 80 and No. 99 respectively.

Earlier, Ruby recorded the highest first-week sales for a K-pop female soloist in 2024, selling approximately 661,130 copies. Jennie also debuted at No. 3 on the UK Official Albums Chart, setting a new record for K-pop female soloists.
