As the controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo-hyun continues to escalate, unintended victims keep piling up. Celebrities who simply follow him on social media are being pressured to publicly cut ties, while family members of late actresses Kim Sae-ron and Sulli have now targeted not only Kim but also others in the industry-including IU and Block B's P.O.-sparking widespread discomfort.

Actor Jung Hae-in's Instagram recently became a target, as fans flooded the comment section urging him to unfollow Kim Soo-hyun. With Soo-hyun under heavy criticism following allegations related to Kim Sae-ron's underage relationship and the aftermath of her death, those perceived as close to him have come under fire.

Actor Im Si-wan, a same-age peer of Kim Soo-hyun and Jung Hae-in born in 1988, quietly removed most of his following list on April 2, leaving only his agency's official account. Notably, Kim Soo-hyun's account disappeared from the list as well, prompting speculation that Im Si-wan made a calculated move to distance himself. Comedian Jo Se-ho was also speculated to have unfollowed Kim, but it was later confirmed the two had never followed each other to begin with.

Meanwhile, the older brother of the late Sulli, known as Mr. A, joined the chorus of criticism. He accused director Lee Robe (a.k.a. Lee Sa-rang), Kim Soo-hyun's cousin and director of the 2017 film Real, of coercing Sulli into performing bed scenes, claiming Kim Soo-hyun was complicit. These allegations remain unverified.

What drew even more concern, however, was Mr. A's decision to name other unrelated celebrities during his accusations. On his social media, he alleged that IU was initially offered the lead role in Real due to her friendship with Kim Soo-hyun but declined. He further claimed IU "threw the script" at Sulli and introduced her to a psychiatric clinic. Mr. A also asserted that Sulli had been in a one-year relationship with P.O of Block B before her passing.

P.O's agency responded with a brief statement, saying the claim was "not verifiable."

Due to these groundless allegations, celebrities who were not involved in the situation are suddenly being dragged into controversy, raising public fatigue and concern over possible defamation of the deceased. Many are calling for greater caution and respect when referencing those who have passed.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun and the family of Kim Sae-ron have entered a legal battle. According to legal sources on April 2, the Seoul Central District Court assigned the 120 billion won (approx. $89 million USD) damage lawsuit filed by Kim Soo-hyun against Kim Sae-ron's family, YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute (Gaseyeon), its operator Kim Se-ui, and an unidentified person claiming to be Kim Sae-ron's aunt, to Civil Division 14.

The family had previously released messages and photos via Gaseyeon starting March 10, claiming Kim Sae-ron had dated Kim Soo-hyun for six years from 2015-when she was a minor-until 2021. Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference on March 31 where he firmly denied ever dating Kim Sae-ron while she was underage.
