"Hyo Shim's Independent Life" is a family liberation drama that follows Hyoshim, a daughter who devoted her life to her family due to her naturally kind nature and warm empathy. As she breaks free from her family, she seeks an independent life, while her family members, who had been living off Hyoshim's dedication and sacrifice, search for their own individual lives. Actress Uee will play the female lead role of Hyoshim.
In the drama, Ha Joon's character Kang Tae-Ho is the planning director of a conglomerate group. A competent and good-looking man, Tae-Ho becomes entangled with Hyoshim (played by Uee) through an incident.
With "Hyo Shim's Independent Life," Ha Joon will take on his first-ever male lead role in a weekend drama. He has previously left strong impressions on viewers with leading roles in KBS dramas such as "Crazy Love" and "Sword Fight." In January, he played the role of Shin Jun-Ho in the tvN drama "Missing: They Were There 2," receiving favorable responses from viewers. Moreover, he starred as detective Kang Hong-Seok in the hit movies "The Outlaws 1" and "2," alongside Ma Dong-Seok.
Ha Joon, who has solidified his position as an actor through dramas and films, has taken a step further towards becoming a household name in television dramas by securing the male lead role in "Hyo Shim's Independent Life."
Meanwhile, "Hyo Shim's Independent Life" is in the process of casting key characters following the confirmed casting of Uee and Ha Joon.
