aespa Breaks New K-pop Girl Group Records with 'Spicy' and Dazzles in Studio Choom Performance
As soon as girl group aespa made their comeback, they broke new K-pop girl group records and unveiled a performance video for their new song.
Mnet's digital studio M2 announced on May 9th that they would release a performance teaser video for aespa's third mini-album title track "Spicy" on the official YouTube channel of 'Studio Choom'. The release of the main video today has amplified anticipation.
'Studio Choom' is a K-POP dance-specialized channel where dance-focused artists and dance crews collaborate.
Through this video, aespa presents a performance that captures both the lively and energetic 'Cool' charm and the confident and brilliant 'Hot' charm of "Spicy". They are expected to show a different side compared to their previous title performances, generating excitement.
"Spicy" is a dance track with an intense synth bass sound and dynamic beats.
The lyrics capture the fatal and uninhibited charm of aespa. Each member's unique vocals and lively, youthful energy can be felt.
On May 8, aespa's third mini-album "MY WORLD" recorded 1,372,929 sales on the first day of release based on the Hanteo Chart (as of May 8th). With this album, they have rewritten the record for the highest first-day sales for a K-pop girl group, garnering tremendous popularity and interest.
