MBC Releases Most-Anticipated Documentary For 2007 Hit Drama 'Coffee Prince'
The highly anticipated MBC drama “Coffee Prince” has finally released its most-anticipated documentary!
The original drama became a big hit 13 years ago, and MBC made a documentary with the main cast Gong Yoo, Lee Sun Gyun, Kim Dong Wook, Yoon Eun Hye, Kim Jae Wook, and Chae Jung An.
They met up in pairs and discussed their memories from the documentary “My Dear Youth – Coffee Prince.”
The MBC drama “Coffee Prince” is the story of a café manager Choi Han Gyul played by Gong Yoo and his employee Yoon Eun Hye as Go Eun Chan, pretending to be a male worker to be able to work at the coffee shop.
The drama “Coffee Prince” hit a significant viewership nationwide, with 27.8 percent during its run.
In the documentary, Gong Yoo revisited the café where they first filmed the drama. He sat down for an interview too. Gong Yoo shared that being in that place feels like having his first love. Gong Yoo shared that he hesitated to join the documentary because he wanted to treasure the moments as they were, and he fears that it might change.
Regarding the popularity of “Coffee Prince,” Gong Yoo shared that the people went crazy over the drama. People were asking him what will happen next, and some said that it is hard to wait.
Moreover, Chae Jung An commented that the chemistry back then was good. The energy of everyone brought all of them together.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo won an acting award for his performance in the drama “Coffee Prince.” The drama meant a lot to him as the project revived his dying passion.
