Actor Kim Soo-hyun will hold an emergency press conference to personally address the ongoing controversies surrounding him.

On March 30, his agency Gold Medalist released an official statement announcing, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern due to recent events. We have arranged this press conference to speak directly to members of the press."

The event will be attended by Kim Soo-hyun himself, along with representatives from the law firm LKB & Partners, which is currently serving as the legal counsel for Gold Medalist. However, the agency clarified that there will be no separate Q&A session beyond the prepared statement.

The press conference comes just four days after the family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron held their own press event. On March 27, the family disclosed private messages they claimed were exchanged between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun, and reiterated their assertion that the two had been in a relationship from November 19, 2015-when Kim was in her third year of middle school-through July 7, 2021. They also alleged that after she left the company, she was served with a debt repayment notice for 700 million KRW, which they claim inflicted psychological pressure.

In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side has denied that any relationship occurred while she was a minor, stating that the two were involved only between the summer of 2019 and the fall of 2020, when Kim Sae-ron was legally an adult. A tense dispute over the facts continues between both sides.

The controversy has intensified as the bereaved family of the late Sulli also raised new questions surrounding the actress's nude scenes in the 2017 film Real, in which she starred opposite Kim Soo-hyun. With scrutiny growing, attention is now focused on what Kim Soo-hyun will say at the upcoming press conference.
