BTS's Jimin continues to elevate the group's global influence by winning the 'Best K-Pop' award at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA), marking another milestone for the legendary group.

On November 10, Jimin was announced as the winner of the 2024 MTV EMA 'Best K-Pop' category. This recognition follows BTS member Jungkook's victory in the same category last year, solidifying the group's dominance for two consecutive years. BTS initially received the 'Best K-Pop' award as a team when the category was introduced in 2021, making Jimin's solo win a continuation of their strong legacy.

Jimin's success comes in the wake of his solo second album, MUSE, and its lead track, "Who," released in July. The album has enjoyed enduring popularity on global charts, a factor likely contributing to his EMA win. Both MUSE and "Who" have maintained impressive chart runs, including a 15-week streak on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100, while also spending 16 weeks on the UK Official Charts. The single "Who" continues to perform strongly, recently ranking fourth on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart for the period of November 1-7.

"Who" has brought Jimin remarkable solo achievements, debuting at No. 4 on the UK Official Singles Chart, a career-best for his solo work. Upon release, it dominated sub-charts such as 'Single Sales,' 'Single Downloads,' and 'Physical Single Sales.'

BTS members have been pursuing dynamic solo careers while maintaining their collective influence. In late November, Jimin will host exhibitions in Los Angeles, and in January 2025, he will showcase his works in Tokyo, covering both his solo albums FACE and MUSE. Meanwhile, Jin is preparing to release his first solo album, Happy, on November 15, featuring an array of tracks highlighting his growth as an artist. The album, which Jin played an active role in creating, includes self-written songs, such as "Grieume."

Other BTS members are also leaving their mark on the music world. RM's second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, released in May, is the subject of a documentary film titled RM: Right People, Wrong Place, set for a December 5 premiere in over 90 countries. V is preparing to release a special duet with legendary pop artist Bing Crosby, titled "White Christmas (with V of BTS)," on December 6.

BTS's individual and collective efforts continue to resonate worldwide, proving their lasting impact on the music industry and beyond. Fans eagerly anticipate the group's future endeavors as each member shines on their own while strengthening the BTS legacy.
