BLACKPINK Jennie Meets 'Aura Lookalike' Devon Aoki at the Met Gala: 'My First Met Story'
BLACKPINK's Jennie has met American model Devon Aoki.
On May 6th, Jennie shared several photos on her social media, captioning them, "My first met story♡ With @chanelofficial."
The photos show Jennie attending the 'Met Gala 2023' held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, New York, on May 1st.
Jennie showcased a fashion statement wearing a white mini dress with black accessories as accents. This dress was specially designed for Jennie by the Chanel design team, reinterpreting Lagerfeld's 1990 collection.
She also shared pictures of her meeting with Devon Aoki, who has previously been the youngest muse for Chanel, capturing attention. Both of them exuded a chic yet charming atmosphere.
The Met Gala is a fundraising event that started in 1948 to support the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Held annually on the first Monday of May, celebrities from various fields, including culture, politics, and economics, attend the event wearing extravagant outfits that match the theme of the year's exhibition.
The event charges over $30,000 for admission, and each event raises an average of $13 million in funds.
This year's Met Gala was held under the theme 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty' to honor the late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019. In addition to Jennie, other attendees included Song Hye Kyo, model So-ra Choi, Anne Hathaway, Cardi B, Jessica Chastain, Billie Eilish, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bundchen, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, and Jennifer Lopez.
