BTS Jungkook Breaks Records as the Fastest Asian Solo Artist to Surpass 7 Million Spotify Followers
BTS member Jungkook has set a new record as the fastest Asian solo artist to gain global popularity by achieving a milestone on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
Recently, Jungkook surpassed 7 million followers on his official Spotify account.
His Spotify account, which was first established on February 11th last year, reached a total of 7,009,472 followers in just 436 days.
As an Asian solo artist, Jungkook has proven his strong presence and influence in the global music market by becoming the fastest to cross the 7 million followers mark. His Spotify account previously set records for the shortest time to achieve over 570,000 followers in 24 hours, 2 million in 81 days, 3 million in 142 days, 4 million in 234 days, 5 million in 287 days, and 6 million in 361 days.
With only three songs on his Spotify account, including the 2022 Qatar World Cup soundtrack "Dreamers," webtoon OST "Stay Alive," and collaboration track "Left and Right," Jungkook recorded the highest-ever monthly listeners for a K-pop solo artist, over 22 million, solidifying his reputation as a "trustworthy artist."
Jungkook has garnered a reputation for breaking numerous "fastest," "highest," and "most" records, such as reaching 1 billion streams in the shortest time of 409 days for a K-pop solo artist with just those three songs.
Jungkook also earned the honor of being the most listened-to K-pop solo artist in Spotify's year-end roundup, '2022 Top K-Pop Artists.'
