Netflix Korea Drops 'BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky' Official Trailer
Netflix Korea just dropped the most-awaited documentary trailer of South Korea's prominent and well-received girl band, titled 'BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky.'
The trailer's sneak peeks feature the BLACKPINK members introducing themselves using the Korean language, asking the fans to look forward to the documentary that will be officially up on October 14, 2020. (via Kpopstarz)
The trailer reveals some behind-the-scene clips of studio recording, conversations of the girls. Lisa was also caught in the clip trying to practice her line, confirming it with her vocal coach, even heard in the scene her co-member Jennie giving her a hint to start whenever she's comfortable.
The next scene of the clip features BLACKPINK's sold-out concerts with the narrator describing and introducing the band with the most fluttering compliment as 'best charting Korean girl group of all time K-pop sensation, and the legendary band BLACKPINK!'. The narrator describes how K-pop was widely known and how it has become a global sensation, with many countries worldwide recognizing the K-pop genre and K-pop artists and groups. (via Koreaboo)
Rose, who is one of the members, never knew how BLACKPINK could be this big and prominent, and that she never knew what she got herself into in the beginning. But one thing is sure and that she is grateful to all the supporters who offered them unconditional love since their debut.
Jennie also shared her thoughts about K-pop in a never seen or released clip in public, for the first time saying that K-pop is the time when she and other co-members were still a trainee. Lisa then described how time flies so fast, and she was just a teenager, a kid, when she took the opportunity to enter the K-pop scene.
In the video, Rose was seen as very emotional and got carried away, recalling the times when she had to leave her home country and family to migrate to South Korea in hopes of achieving her dreams. Jennie being sent by her mom in Florida to attain an academic career but refused to as she thought she'd like to take things on her way.
Lisa also shared that before becoming a BLACKPINK member, everything was indeed competition for her, and lastly, Jisoo. She is about to give up even her dreams of becoming a star because she can't handle difficult obstacles way back.
This documentary will reveal how, from scratch, BLACKPINK members fought their way to the top and overcome their hardships with strong mental optimism and determination. Their group 'BLACKPINK' rose to the top alongside prominent names and bands in South Korea and even abroad.
