Kim Min Seok To Appear In New Drama With Ji Chang Wook And Kim Ji Won
Kim Min Seok receives his first TV project by joining Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won’s upcoming romance drama!
On September 25, Kim Min Seok was confirmed to be appearing in “City Couple’s Way of Love” (literal translation), KakaoTV’s new original drama. The short-form drama will follow the real dating lives of young people fighting to survive in a hectic city. It is currently being produced with multiple seasons in mind.
The new project will mark Kim Min Seok’s first acting project since his military discharge in July. He will be playing the role of Choi Kyung Joon, an architect and cynical realist. Choi Kyung Joon refuses to stand by and watch when it comes to other people mistreating his longtime girlfriend despite being a self-professed passive observer of the world who rarely gets angry.
Kim MIn Seok shared that he is grateful and honored to greet his fans through a great drama like this following his discharge. “I will do my utmost to portray Choi Kyung Joon in a way that is both relatable and comforting for viewers, so please look forward to it.”
“City Couple’s Way of Love” will be helmed by the director of the hit dramas “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” “Encounter,” and “Don’t Dare to Dream (Jealousy Incarnate)” named Park Shin Woo.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won were confirmed for the leading roles of the drama.
Kim Min Seok’s Military Journey
On July 20, Kim Min Suk was discharged. It was reported that after his final leave, he was not required to return to his base anymore.
The Military Manpower Administration has been discharging soldiers during their final leave due to the COVID-19 pandemic to increase the risk of spreading coronavirus.
Kim Min Suk was enlisted on December 10, 2018, as an active-duty soldier. The actor was cast in the military musical “Return: The Promise of the Day” during his service. But due to COVID-19 precautions, the musical was canceled.
