As allegations mount over actor Kim Soo-hyun's alleged relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron during her minor years, calls are now coming from his own fanbase for a public statement. A portion of fans are demanding that the actor directly address the growing controversy, which includes not only personal matters but now extends to his past professional work.

On March 28, a post titled "Statement from Fans Regarding Actor Kim Soo-hyun" was uploaded to an online community. In the statement, the group expressed their concern over the escalating scandal and urged Kim to speak out.

"With the recent controversy surrounding Kim Soo-hyun growing more serious, fans cannot take this situation lightly," the statement read. "We want to convey that a cautious attitude and a responsible explanation are needed."

The statement went on to highlight how the release of concrete materials such as KakaoTalk messages and photos-some of which appear to contradict Kim's previously stated timeline-has added to public confusion and concern. "Additional scrutiny over past projects has pushed this beyond the realm of celebrity gossip and into a matter of professional ethics and responsibility," the fans wrote.

"We remember Kim Soo-hyun for his sincere acting, warm image, and the comfort and inspiration he has provided to the public. That is why we sincerely hope he will now step forward, clarify the facts, and share his position," the group continued. "We earnestly request that he hold a press conference or some form of public statement to explain the suspicions thoroughly and truthfully in his own voice."

However, other fans continue to support Kim. In a separate statement titled "Unified Support Declaration from Korean Fans of Kim Soo-hyun," another fan group reaffirmed their backing of the actor.

"Over many years and through numerous works, Kim Soo-hyun has positively influenced Hallyu culture," the statement read. "He has always approached fans with humility and warmth and has consistently demonstrated a sense of social responsibility." They concluded by expressing continued support: "We hope he continues to work in various productions, and we will not withhold our encouragement."

They also pleaded for restraint in public discourse. "We believe the truth will eventually come out. Please stop spreading unverified claims and rumors."

The calls come in the wake of a growing scandal following the death of actress Kim Sae-ron last month. Her family has alleged that she was involved in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun beginning when she was still a minor. Kim's agency, Gold Medalist, has denied the accusation, stating that the two only dated after she became a legal adult.

On March 27, the late actress's family held a press conference and released several pieces of evidence via the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, including old photographs and KakaoTalk messages exchanged between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun. Some of the content contained explicit language, further fueling public outrage.

The controversy has also reignited criticism regarding Kim Soo-hyun's past role in the 2017 film Real, where he appeared alongside the late Sulli. Her family has accused the production of pressuring her into filming nude and bed scenes, an allegation that has yet to be addressed by Kim or the film's production team.

Kim Soo-hyun's agency previously issued a denial regarding the underage relationship allegations but has remained silent since the release of the KakaoTalk evidence. The family of Kim Sae-ron continues to press for a sincere apology.
