Actor Jang Hyuk recalled on the projects of his career on the recent episode of KBS2’s “Weekly Entertainment Live.”

Jang Hyuk took the role of a young, rebellious character in the drama “School” (1999). Jang Hyuk shared that there were times when his emotions would dictate his actions when asked if he was the same in real life at the time. Jang Hyuk also added that at present, he needs to be drunk before he can watch his acting from his stints in his younger years.

The action expertise of Jang Hyuk was mentioned in the show, and he shared that a long time ago while filming the movie ‘Zzang’ (1998), a stuntman got hurt because of an unforeseen accident. The actor revealed that after seeing that happen, he tried doing all his action scenes by myself.

Furthermore, Jang Hyuk was known to regularly practice Jeet Kune Do, boxing, and horseback riding. He said that he has to practice using a sword in preparation for doing historical drama.

On the actor’s historical dramas experiences, Jang Hyuk said that his first historical drama was ‘Daemang’ (2002). He revealed that he was young and too inexperienced to handle that role, and when he did ‘Slave Hunters‘in 2010, he had been studying a bit more.”

Finally, about the actor’s upcoming film “Swordsman” (literal title), a fast-paced action movie is what Jang Hyuk described it. Jang Hyuk worked with Joe Taslim in the movie and said that Joe Taslim is on the Indonesian national team for judo, so he was on another level.

He also shared that they mostly communicated with body language in the movie, so they didn’t experience a language barrier.
