BabyMonster Achieves Full 7-Member Line-Up with Ahyeon's Return, Gears Up for April Activities
YG Entertainment's rookie girl group BabyMonster is set to make their complete group debut with the return of Ahyeon. The 7-member group is gearing up for significant activities starting this April, generating high expectations.
On January 25th, YG Entertainment's executive producer Yang Hyun-Suk announced in an official video, "Ahyeon has fully recovered her health and is back at YG from today, recording songs for the album." With Ahyeon's return confirmed, BabyMonster is expected to demonstrate even stronger capabilities as a complete 7-member group.
Ahyeon was unable to join the group for the release of their debut song 'BATTER UP' last November. BabyMonster initially debuted as a 6-member group with 'BATTER UP'.
At the time, YG Entertainment had stated, "BabyMonster will debut with six members: Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita. Ahyeon will take a break for health reasons after careful discussion." The agency had expressed their regret for not being able to introduce Ahyeon as part of BabyMonster but prioritized the artist's health, committing to support her full recovery.
Two months later, the news of Ahyeon's return has garnered much anticipation among fans. Ahyeon had been a notable member even before BabyMonster's debut, showcasing impressive vocal skills, powerful range, and emotional depth. Her significant presence was evident even in the debut reality show.
Although she missed the beginning of BabyMonster, her return post-recovery is expected to add significant synergy to the group.
With her official return to activities, Ahyeon will join BabyMonster starting with their first mini-album release in April. This album will feature versions of 'BATTER UP' and 'Stuck In The Middle' including Ahyeon's participation. Yang Hyun-Suk encouraged fans to look forward to the perfect 7-member group activities of BabyMonster.
With Ahyeon's return adding to their strength, BabyMonster will kick off their activities with the release of 'Stuck In The Middle' on February 1st, followed by the mini-album in April and a full album planned for the fall.
