The music video for 'The Astronaut,' released on October 28 last year, recently broke through 93 million views. As of 6 AM on October 11 (KST), the music video recorded 93.72 million views, eyeing the achievement of 100 million views.
'The Astronaut' music video drew attention with Jin's delicate and sensual expression acting as an 'astronaut' who has crash-landed. Furthermore, Jin's charming bass voice and his unique refreshing yet dreamy atmosphere showcased various aspects of vocalist Jin, captivating fans worldwide.
Upon its release, the music video received explosive reactions, achieving 1 million views within 15 minutes of release, 10 million views in 12 hours and 30 minutes, and 30 million views in just 4 days. It also demonstrated overwhelming popularity by recording 1 million 'likes' in 1 hour and 4 minutes and 3 million in 13 hours.
'The Astronaut' music video recorded 1st place in 'YouTube Music Trending' worldwide from October 28th, 2022, to November 13th, 2022, for 17 consecutive days. Jin had previously set a record with his self-composed solo song 'Super Tuna' music video, which held 1st place for 16 consecutive days, thus Jin broke his own record, writing a new history in K-pop.
'The Astronaut' track recently surpassed 250 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform, showcasing its powerful streaming power and unparalleled popularity.
