BTS Jin Shines Globally, His First Self-Composed Song 'Tonight' Hits No.1 in 26 Countries on iTunes
BTS Jin has shone globally with his first self-composed song 'Tonight', reaching number one on iTunes in 26 countries. Jin's 'Tonight' recently topped the 'iTunes Top Songs' chart in Qatar.
'Tonight' is Jin's first self-composed song, unveiled as special content amidst the celebration of their sixth debut anniversary during the '2019 BTS Festa'. The song was first pre-released on BTS' official social media and SoundCloud, and was later officially released on all streaming platforms in October last year.
Upon its release, it immediately reached number one on the 'iTunes Top Songs' chart in 14 countries, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Colombia. The popularity of 'Tonight' continues to shine globally, recently achieving consecutive number ones in Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Honduras, Trinidad, Tobago, Qatar, and others, setting a grand record of being number one in a total of 26 countries.
'Tonight' is an acoustic R&B track that stands out with a melody expressing love and longing for a departed pet and clear, pure vocals, and it continues to receive warm love with its touching lyrics, even four years after its release.
Recently, Jin is enjoying high popularity as a top digital music force on iTunes, having achieved number one in 42 countries with 'Super Tuna' and 17 countries with 'Abyss'.
Having enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier last December, Jin is demonstrating his formidable popularity that doesn't fit the term "military hiatus". He is shining with brilliant records on charts in various countries, proving the strong topic and influence of a top-notch solo artist.
