FIFTY FIFTY Facing Restrictions on International Activities? "Trademark Filed in U.S., UK, China, and Japan
As FIFTY FIFTY group members Saena, Aran, Keena, and Sio are in a contract dispute with their agency Attrakt, the latter has filed for trademarks in four foreign countries.
On July 25, an official from Attract revealed to Star News, "We have applied for FIFTY FIFTY's trademark rights in four countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Japan."
Consequently, FIFTY FIFTY cannot use the team name in these countries without Attrakt's consent.
FIFTY FIFTY has been in a legal dispute, applying for an injunction to suspend the effects of their exclusive contract against their agency Attrakt. During this process, Attract pointed at An Sung-il, the CEO of The Givers, who produced 'Cupid', as an external force causing the dispute. However, CEO An Sung-il denies these allegations.
In the end, Attrakt filed a lawsuit against three people related to The Givers, including CEO An Sung-il, for fraud and breach of trust. In addition, they filed supplementary complaints for charges of embezzlement in business and forgery of private documents.
