BTS's Jungkook's 'Seven' Tops iTunes in 108 Countries within 24 Hours, Dominating Four Major Charts in 'Perfect All-Kill' March
BTS's Jungkook's solo track 'Seven' is sweeping the #1 spot in music charts around the world, continuing its 'Perfect All-Kill' march.
The first solo single 'Seven', released on July 14th (Korean time), swept the #1 spot on the four major iTunes song charts worldwide on the global music platform 'iTunes'.
'Seven', based on the iTunes tally, claimed the #1 spot on the Worldwide and European iTunes song charts on July 14th. Furthermore, it ascended to the top spot in the United States and United Kingdom iTunes Top Songs, seizing the pinnacle of the four major charts. 'Seven' is also maintaining an endless global box office run, recording #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 108 countries/regions within 24 hours of release.
In addition, on July 15th (Korean time), 'Seven' also topped the overall genre chart on the U.S. digital music medium Genius. Its explicit version secured the 3rd spot.
Notably, 'Seven' topped both iTunes and Genius charts, surpassing new songs by world-famous pop stars such as Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For?' and Olivia Rodrigo's 'Vampire', showcasing impressive music power.
'Seven' also established a formidable record by clinching #1 on domestic music platforms Melon, Bugs, and Genie. The song continues to set unprecedented records, such as reaching #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 100 countries in the 'shortest' time ever of 2 hours and 33 minutes, and becoming the 'first' song by a male idol group released in 2023 to reach #1 on Melon.
'Seven' is a passionate serenade with lyrics expressing the desire to be with a loved one throughout the week. It's a 'summer song' that combines an addictive melody, witty lyrics, and Jungkook's refreshing and melodious pop vocals.
Meanwhile, Jungkook officially began his solo activities by unveiling the stage for 'Seven' for the first time at the '2023 Summer Concert Series' of 'Good Morning America' (GMA), a representative morning news program of ABC, held at Central Park in New York, USA, on July 14th.
