Amidst Legal Battle with Agency, FIFTY FIFTY Continues to Break Records with 15 Weeks on the UK Single Charts Top 100
K-pop's rising girl group FIFTY FIFTY, who is currently involved in a legal dispute with their agency, is making record-breaking strides on the UK Official Chart with their track, "Cupid (Twin Ver.)."
According to the Official Chart on July 7th, FIFTY FIFTY's "Cupid" secured the 58th spot on the Top 100 Official Singles Chart for the week of July 7-13. This is the 15th consecutive week that the track has managed to hold a position on the chart.
"Cupid" by FIFTY FIFTY has consistently been setting new records on the charts. As a K-pop girl group single, it's broken the record for consecutive weeks on the chart and is the first K-pop girl group track to enter the top 10.
Surpassing the 17th spot held by the collaborative track "Sour Candy" by BLACKPINK and American pop star Lady Gaga, "Cupid" peaked at the 8th spot, the highest rank for a K-pop girl group on the chart.
Despite such impressive progress, FIFTY FIFTY is currently facing a precarious situation due to their ongoing conflict with their agency, ATTRACT. The group members have filed a petition for a suspension of exclusive contract effect against ATTRACT at the Seoul Central District Court.
ATTRACT is currently embroiled in a legal battle with THE GIVERS, the content company responsible for producing FIFTY FIFTY's music.
