ENHYPEN Reveals 'DARK BLOOD' Tracklist with Title Track 'Bite Me'
The K-pop group ENHYPEN has unveiled the tracklist for their new album.
ENHYPEN (Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki) posted the tracklist for their 4th mini album 'DARK BLOOD' on their official social media at midnight on May 17.
The album includes six tracks: the title track 'Bite Me,' along with 'Fate,' 'Sacrifice (Eat Me Up),' 'Chaconne,' 'Bills,' and 'Karma.'
'DARK BLOOD' is an album that kicks off the 'BLOOD' series, following the 'BORDER,' 'DIMENSION,' and 'MANIFESTO' series. It tells the story of a boy preparing to make sacrifices for his fated one (you), with whom he has reunited. ENHYPEN has expressed the precious feelings and gratitude they have for their fans through this 'dark fantasy' narrative.
Each of the six songs on the album has a unique theme, based on the forgotten boy's pride, curse, awareness, and story of sacrifice. The tracks are organically connected to each other, allowing listeners to empathize more deeply with the message embedded in 'DARK BLOOD.'
The title track 'Bite Me' is a song about a boy who has reunited with his destined partner, realizing that he and the girl are bound by fate through blood. The song was produced by Cirkut, who worked on Sam Smith's 'Unholy' and The Weeknd's 'Starboy.' Heeseung participated in the recording directing.
Ahead of the tracklist reveal, a snippet of the 'Bite Me' track and part of its choreography were shared on TikTok, the global short-form mobile video platform, through ENHYPEN's official account on May 16th.
The members surprised fans by revealing a simple dance move that involved touching their necks with their index and middle fingers. Along with this, the lyrics "If you're going to save me, just come kiss me and bite me" flowed out, raising anticipation for the full song.
ENHYPEN will reveal an album preview on the 17th ahead of the release of their 4th mini album 'DARK BLOOD' at 6 PM on the 22nd.
