BTS member Jin has showcased his popularity by climbing to the #2 spot on Shazam's 'Global Weekly Top 10 Artists.'
Jin secured the second place on the 'Global Weekly Top 10 Artists' chart, announced by the world's largest music search platform Shazam on April 28 through its official social media account. Standing shoulder to shoulder with top global singers, Jin displayed his presence as a global superstar.
On the weekly chart announced on the 28th, Jin followed behind #1 DJ BeLITE (@DjBeLITE), surpassing renowned pop singers to claim the global chart's TOP 2 spot. Fifty Fifty (@we_fiftyfifty) ranked third, and Miley Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) took the fourth position.
Jin first appeared on the global weekly chart with "Yours," the main OST for the tvN drama 'Jirisan,' released on May 20th last year. Since then, he has consistently ranked on the chart, making it into the 'Global Weekly Top 3' for 38 weeks. Competing fiercely with top artists worldwide, both BTS and Jin have achieved fame by securing the #1 position in Korea's 'Shazam Global Weekly Top 10 Artists.'
As of May 2nd, Jin's "The Astronaut" has surpassed 12.66 million Shazams, breaking the record for the most Shazamed K-pop song in 2022. Jin's "Yours" holds the record for the first and most Shazamed K-pop song of all time, with over 12.83 million Shazams.
With this achievement, Jin has demonstrated his musical prowess as the only K-pop artist to have two songs with over 10 million Shazams.
