Yoo Hye Won Sends Message of Hope Amidst Negative Attention Over Seungri Dating Rumors: 'This Too Shall Pass'
Influencer and former actress Yoo Hye-won indirectly discussed the negative attention she received after dating rumors surfaced between her and former BIGBANG member Seungri.
On April 23, Yoo Hyewon took the time to answer questions from her fans. Among the many questions she received, she chose to address one that asked, "When you feel trapped in a seemingly unsolvable problem, how do you get through it?" Yoo Hyewon responded, "Avoid negative thoughts X, meet healthy and positive people O."
She continued, "Fortunately, I have many wonderful people around me, and I feel like I'm living with a healthy mindset." She encouraged fans, saying, "If you have someone who gives you positive energy when things are tough, I hope you can gain their positive and healthy energy." Yoo Hyewon added, "I would like to do that for those I meet. Don't lose hope; this too shall pass."
Previously in March, Yoo Hyewon was swept up in her third dating rumor with Seungri. She apologized for causing confusion to her fans who genuinely cared for her, stating, "The situation has become increasingly mentally distressing as groundless speculations and high-level malicious comments are growing." She collected evidence of these factless and malicious comments and announced her intention to sue the commenters without any leniency. However, her post was later deleted.
Meanwhile, Seungri was indicted in 2019 as a key figure in the Burning Sun scandal, facing nine charges, including prostitution mediation, violation of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and Protection of Victims, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement, and aggravated punishment for specific economic crimes.
In May last year, the Supreme Court confirmed Seungri's guilt and sentenced him to one year and six months in prison. Serving his trial as a soldier at the time, Seungri was transferred to a private prison after the ruling and was released on February 9th.
