DKZ member Kyoungyoon, embroiled in controversy as a second-generation member of the pseudo-religious group JMS (Christian Gospel Mission), is putting his activities on hold.

On April 19, his agency, Dongyo Entertainment, announced through their fan cafe, "We would like to inform you about the Cultwo Show Boseong schedule on the 29th and Kyoungyoon's future activities."

The agency explained, "Recently, we received repeated requests from event organizers to cancel the appearance of our artist (Boseong County Office and National Public Complaints). As a result, we have caused inconvenience to the Boseong County officials who had to respond directly to the complaints, and only five members of DKZ (Sehyeon, Mingyu, Jaechan, Jonghyeong, and Giseok) will participate in the event. We apologize for the sudden changes and inconvenience experienced by all."

The agency also shared the news of Kyoungyoon's hiatus, stating, "Kyoungyoon feels a heavy sense of responsibility for the issues related to him and is currently undergoing counseling and treatment. He has been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and social phobia by his primary doctor and will focus on treatment and recovery for the time being."

Following the release of Netflix's "In the Name of God, A Holy Betrayal," Kyoungyoon and his family were revealed to be followers of JMS, shocking fans. On the 14th of last month, Kyoungyoon declared his departure from JMS through DKZ's official fan cafe, apologizing to fans who were surprised and disappointed, and reflecting on his past remarks that led to misunderstandings.

Kyoungyoon added, "I believed that my parents were attending a regular church, and I was not aware of or had any knowledge of the specific organization or the broadcast content related to it until I received information from many people."
