BLACKPINK's Jisoo 'Flower' Reaches No. 38 on UK's Official Charts
BLACKPINK's Jisoo has been receiving a warm response from global music fans with her first solo album.
According to the UK Official Charts Singles Top 100 announced on the 7th (local time), Jisoo's first solo album [ME] title track "Flower" ranked at No. 38. This is the highest ranking for a K-pop female solo artist.
The previous best record was held by Rosé's "On The Ground" (No. 42), followed by Lisa's "MONEY" (No. 46).
This significant achievement in the UK's main chart once again proves BLACKPINK's powerful influence in the global music market.
The popularity continues on YouTube as well. The "Flower" music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube at 11:16 AM on the same day, approximately 7 days and 22 hours after its release, making it BLACKPINK's 41st video to achieve this milestone.
The dance performance video, released on the 6th, has also garnered over 17.47 million views, showing a strong sign of popularity.
Meanwhile, Jisoo's first solo album [ME] carries a double meaning: her unique color as a solo artist (ME) and her inherent beauty.
"Flower" is a song with a distinctive bass sound and minimal arrangement. The lyrical lyrics and melody, Jisoo's unique vocals, and a dreamy atmosphere blend harmoniously, offering an intensely addictive charm.
