On August 22, KBS's "Immortal Songs" began its new format!

"Immortal Songs" is a television music competition program in which contemporary artists reinterpreted past hits from "legends" in the Korean music industry. The show went on to changing its logo and rebranding it.

"Artists" is the replacement name for Legends" in the new format as the show takes on a lesser strict approach to the artists that can be covered. The MC lineup had also changed to Kim Shin Young, Kim Joon Hyun, and Kim Tae Woo.

A two-part Turbo/Kim Jong Kook special had begun last August 22 episode. Turbo is a South Korean musical duo active during the mid to late 1990s, initially consisted of Kim Jong Kook, the founding member, and Kim Jung Nam, who left the group in early 1997.

A new member, Mickey, continued the promotion. Meanwhile, they made a comeback in 2015 as a trio.

YOYOMI is the singer for the first part of the Turbo special. She is a trot singer who sang im Jong Kook's hit track "Lovable." Followed by ELRIS, the girl group who covered Turbo's "White Love," and then, the crossover group LA POEM, who sang Kim Jong Kook's "Stars, Wind, Sunlight, and Light."

Next on the lineup was B.O.Y (Song Yu Vin and Kim Kook Heon), who sang Turbo's "My Childhood Dream," and Jung Dong Ha, who teamed up with Jungmo, the guitarist, for Turbo's (Love Is… (3+3=0)."

The last performers for the first part of the Turbo special were "Jamie" musicals actors Jo Kwon (leader of a boy band 2AM), ASTRO's MJ (Kim Myung Jun, the main vocalist of boy group ASTRO), and Shin Joo Hyub.

The last three performers showed an energetic musical-style performance, tearing up the dance floor with Turbo's hit song "Twist King," eventually taking the ultimate win for the episode. They also performed a snippet of a song from their musical "Jamie."
