9Muses' Hyuna Opens Up About Second Child, 'I Cried When I Learned It Was a Girl'
Former 9Muses member Hyuna has revealed details about her pregnancy and childbirth, sharing a personal look into her journey as a mother of two.
On February 24, Hyuna posted a series of photos and videos on her personal social media account with the caption, "2023.2.23~?2025.2.23, TMI-filled DANA record," referring to her experiences leading up to the birth of her second child.
The images and videos documented her journey from pregnancy to delivery, offering an intimate glimpse into her experience. Among them, she shared moments from her prenatal trip to Guam, revealing, "I weighed over 70kg at one point."
Hyuna candidly reflected on the early stages of her pregnancy, writing, "At five weeks, I took multiple tests but didn't go to the hospital right away. Maybe it was the composure of a second-time mom. I knew I had to wait a few more days to hear the heartbeat anyway." She also shared how she struggled with severe morning sickness, saying, "I had to take medication for it while also taking care of my first child. I was constantly exhausted."

In one emotional revelation, Hyuna admitted, "I had hoped for a son, so when I found out it was a daughter, I called my friend and cried my heart out. I don't even know why I reacted that way."
She detailed her labor experience, explaining, "I had scheduled an induction because of my doctor's availability, but the baby ended up arriving on her own. After being admitted, I endured contractions for a while, watched a movie with my husband, and tried to stay relaxed. In the end, I only had to push a few times before giving birth."
Hyuna married a businessman eight years her senior in 2017, and the couple now shares two children-a son named Danwoo and a daughter named Dana.
