On the March 25 broadcast of TV Chosun's "Dad and Me", actress Seo Hyo-rim and her husband remembered the late actress Kim Soo-mi by revisiting her final homemade kimchi and reading her diary entries.

During the episode, Kim Soo-mi's son Jung Myung-ho looked at the last batch of kimchi his mother made and said, "We kept saving it, but the kimchi eventually turned sour." He added, "Even just smelling the aged kimchi reminds me of my mom."

When Seo Hyo-rim remarked, "Didn't you say you weren't going to eat it?" Jung replied, "I want to make braised kimchi (kimchi-jjim) with it. I've been craving it."

He continued, "A few days ago, I saw my mom in a dream for the first time. The next day, I suddenly started craving kimchi-jjim. But I wanted to be the one to make it-just like she used to."

As Jung began preparing the dish, Seo Hyo-rim asked, "Why was your mom so obsessed with food?" Jung responded, "She said that during middle and high school, she only ate once a day." At that moment, a page from Kim Soo-mi's diary was revealed.

In the diary, Kim wrote, "From the first year of middle school to my senior year of high school, I was always hungry. I ate plain rice with nothing but pickled radish."

Holding back tears, Seo Hyo-rim said, "You have no idea how much I cried reading that diary."
