Kim Soo-hyun’s Side Speaks Out on Canceled Taiwan Fan Meeting: ’Postponed Due to Safety Concerns'
Actor Kim Soo-hyun's management has officially commented on the cancellation of his upcoming fan meeting in Taiwan.
On the afternoon of March 25, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, told OSEN, "Kim Soo-hyun's Taiwan brand event has been postponed due to safety concerns."
Earlier in the day, Taiwan's 7-Eleven announced via its official social media channels that "the fan meeting with actor Kim Soo-hyun, which was scheduled for March 30 during the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival, has been canceled." The event organizers also confirmed that full refunds would be issued for all fan meeting tickets.
Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding Kim Soo-hyun continues to grow. The family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron claimed via the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (commonly known as "GaSeYeon") that Kim Soo-hyun had dated Kim Sae-ron for six years beginning when she was 15 years old. They further alleged that despite Kim Sae-ron facing financial hardship after halting her career due to a DUI incident in 2022, Kim Soo-hyun pressured her to repay the 700 million won she had borrowed to settle the matter.
In response, Gold Medalist admitted that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron had dated, but clarified that the relationship occurred after she became an adult, specifically from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020. The agency also explained that the certified letter demanding repayment was part of the legal process of writing off losses related to her DUI settlement, and emphasized that there was never any actual demand or coercion for repayment.
