Kim Sae-ron’s Close Associate Reveals She Recently Changed Her Name and Was Preparing for a Café and Entertainment Comeback
Kim Sae-ron's close associate revealed on the 16th that the actress had been preparing for a new chapter in her life under a different name.
"I met Kim Sae-ron at the end of last year," the source shared. "She recently changed her name to Kim Ah-im and was planning a fresh start."
The associate further stated, "Kim Sae-ron had been preparing to open a café with close acquaintances and was also working towards her return to the entertainment industry. It's hard to believe this heartbreaking news."
According to the police, Kim was found deceased at her home on the 16th. Authorities responded to an emergency report at approximately 5 PM and discovered her lifeless. The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding her passing.

Kim Sae-ron began her entertainment career in 2001 as a magazine model and made her big-screen debut in 2009 with the film A Brand New Life. However, she gained national recognition for her performance in the 2010 film The Man from Nowhere, where she showcased exceptional acting skills as a child actress.
Throughout her career, Kim starred in several films, including I Am a Dad, The Neighbors, Barbie, Dohee-ya, Manhole, Snowy Road, and The Villagers. Despite her promising career, Kim's reputation suffered a major setback in May 2022 when she was involved in a drunk driving accident in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
At the time, Kim crashed into an electrical transformer, causing power outages in the surrounding commercial district. She refused an on-site breathalyzer test, opting for a blood test instead, which later revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.2%, well above the license revocation threshold.
Following the incident, Kim withdrew from the public eye and took time away from the industry to reflect on her actions.
