BTS Jungkook Unleashes Power with 'Seven': Dominates iTunes in 113 Countries and Breaks Record as First K-pop Soloist in Apple Music's Global Top 5
BTS member Jungkook has demonstrated strong music power on iTunes and Apple Music with his solo single "Seven".
Jungkook's first solo single "Seven", released at 1 p.m. on July 14th (Korean time), has topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 113 countries (regions) on the global music platform iTunes.
Within less than 48 hours of its release on the 16th (Korean time), "Seven" achieved number one on iTunes in 110 countries (regions), and as of the 19th, it dominated 113 countries, showcasing its global popularity.
Moreover, "Seven" ranked 'four consecutive days' at number one on the four major iTunes Top Songs charts-worldwide, European, U.S., and U.K.-and demonstrated a strong power by ranking 'six consecutive days' at number one on the worldwide and European iTunes Top Songs charts.
Previously, "Seven" set a historic record by topping the iTunes Top Songs chart in 100 countries in the 'shortest' time in iTunes history, which was 2 hours and 33 minutes. It also made a historic mark on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
On July 14, "Seven" topped the Spotify 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart with 15,995,378 streams (after filtering), and Jungkook established a new record by becoming the first Korean solo artist to debut at number one on the Spotify global chart. Furthermore, it maintained the top spot on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart for four consecutive days.
In addition, Jungkook achieved the most daily streams for an Asian artist in Spotify Global chart history with 'Seven', and his filtered daily streaming debut ranked third in the world, while his unfiltered daily streaming debut ranked fifth in the world. With "Seven", Jungkook is continuing to set overwhelming new records every day, including being the first K-pop artist to debut at number one on the 'Daily Top Songs U.S.' chart on Spotify.
Also, the "Explicit Version" of "Seven" reached number five on the "Apple Music" Global Top 100 chart, and Jungkook accomplished the feat of becoming the first K-pop solo artist to rank in the top 5 of this chart. The 'Clean Version' of 'Seven' ranked second on the Korean Top 100 chart, the 'Explicit Version' ranked fifth on the Korean Top 100 chart, and second on the Japanese Top 100 chart.
"Seven" also simultaneously topped the largest domestic music site Melon's Main Chart Top 100, Genie Real-Time Top 200, and Bugs Real-Time Chart at 0 a.m. on the 17th. 'Seven' also set a new record by achieving first place on the Melon Top 100 in the shortest time for a male solo artist, just 11 hours after its release at 0 o'clock on the 15th.
