The Givers, contracted by FIFTY FIFTY's agency Attrakt, have signaled legal countermeasures against allegations they are calling "groundless."

On June 29 (KST), The Givers stated, "Our company was commissioned by Attrakt's representative Jeon Hong-jun, initiating this project in earnest in June 2021. We led girl group FIFTY FIFTY to a successful debut and unprecedented accomplishments. As of May 31, 2023, we have transferred all planning, production, and operation duties to Attract and terminated our business relationship."

The Givers further clarified that they are "currently only handling global promotions and overseas PR at the request of Attract."

The Givers added, "Attrakt has referred to the 'intervention of outside forces' in the legal dispute with the artist revealed through press releases or interviews since June 23, 2023. Then, on the 26th, rumors about an 'outsourcing company that led the poaching' mentioned in the article were spread through various media and communities. As a result, we have been bombarded with inquiries assuming or confirming our involvement."

The Givers emphatically stated that "our company has no involvement with the speculative content of these articles, nor does the content of the articles have anything to do with us."

Earlier, on the 27th, Attrakt's representative Jeon Hong-jun announced that he had filed a complaint against The Givers' representative An Seong-il and three others who had contracted with Attract and had been managing the project and performing duties.

Attrakt claimed that "The Givers committed acts of business obstruction by delaying the handover of tasks, deleting company email accounts, destroying electronic records, committing fraud, and betraying their business obligations."

Attract has also claimed that "The Givers secretly bought the copyright to the song 'CUPID' from an overseas composer without providing Attrakt with any information about the copyright purchase."

The Givers responded, "We conducted all business, including securing copyrights, by legal procedures. Particularly, the song 'CUPID' was a song that we had owned even before the FIFTY FIFTY project, and it was later worked on as a FIFTY FIFTY song. The allegations Attract made through the media regarding the reason for the lawsuit are entirely false. We have maintained a neutral stance without taking any position between Attract and FIFTY FIFTY members."

The Givers announced that they "have appointed the law firm Hwawoo to deal with the false accusations against our representatives and the ongoing spread of falsehoods through the media by representative Jeon Hong-jun and Attract. We will make a strong legal response in the future."

The Givers' representative An Seong-il is a producer who has been with FIFTY FIFTY from their debut to the creation of 'CUPID.' He accepted the project proposal from Attrakt and took charge of overall tasks, from selecting trainees to devising FIFTY FIFTY's activity curriculum, training, song producing, and album production.

Currently, while Attrakt has filed a lawsuit against The Givers, The Givers have indicated a counteraction, and the FIFTY FIFTY members have applied for a suspension of their exclusive contract with Attrakt due to "opaque settlements."
