Stray Kids Teases New Track 'TOPLINE' Featuring Hip-Hop Legend Tiger JK
The K-pop group Stray Kids has teamed up with hip-hop legend Tiger JK.
Stray Kids is set to release their third full album '5-STAR' and the title track 'Special' on June 2nd. On May 19th, they revealed a teaser video of their new song 'Stray Kids 5-STAR UNVEIL : TRACK 4 "TOPLINE (Feat. Tiger JK)"' (Stray Kids Unveil: Track 4 "TOPLINE") on their official social media channels.
The video, launched with a heavy melody, transitions into the furious rapping of member Han, creating a sense of catharsis. The lyrics boast, "We draw the line at TOPLINE, who dares to cross over to the TOP CLASS," perfectly complemented by the eight members' confident gestures, enhancing immersion. The imposing charisma of Tiger JK, who subsequently reveals himself, overpowers the atmosphere. The track 'TOPLINE (Feat. Tiger JK)', which showcases an exceptional combination of firmly established K-pop favorites Stray Kids and hip-hop icon Tiger JK, was produced by the group's in-house production team 3RACHA, composed of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han.
3RACHA had their first interaction with Tiger JK during the '2022 MAMA AWARDS' collaboration stage. Their performance, delivering a profound message, prompted viewers to wish for more traditional hip-hop collaborations between the two artists. The duo's musical chemistry in Stray Kids' third full album is drawing eager attention.
Stray Kids is poised to make a dynamic comeback in 2023 with their third full album, which pours their 'special and quirky' identity into the album, named '5-STAR'. Having climbed the summit of the Billboard 200 main chart twice with their self-produced album in 2022, Stray Kids is set to stand out with their newest release, highlighting their best music and concepts.
The full album '5-STAR' and the title track 'Special' will officially be released on June 2 at 1 PM (12 AM EST).
