Kang Yu-mi Transforms into 'Fasting Guru' Weighing 27kg at 173cm Tall
Comedian and Youtuber Kang Yu-mi has transformed into a "fasting guru."
On the 20th, Kang Yu-mi uploaded a video titled "Martian X-File - A Girl Who Fasts More Than a News Anchor" on her YouTube channel "Kang Yu-mi's Channel for Fun."
In the video, Kang Yu-mi parodies a variety show that used to introduce people with peculiar habits, tastes, or preferences, and she plays the role of an ordinary participant named 'Kang Yomi.'
Kang Yomi is 173cm tall and weighs only 27kg. She captivated viewers with her eating habits, such as eating only three grains of rice and one shrimp from shrimp paste per meal.
She said, "I feel full just eating this," and "This is actually a lot for me. I used to weigh 13kg." Upon verification by the production team, Kang Yomi's waist measured 30cm and her weight was 27kg.
Later, Kang Yomi decided to binge eat and cooked a single strand of cream pasta, but she felt full even from swallowing saliva and spat it out frequently. She also shocked viewers by saying, "I swallowed water. I'm full" while brushing her teeth.
A friend who met Kang Yomi said, "I wish I could be 'skin and bones' like you just once. It's trendy among our peers to be skin and bones. You look just like an idol," and "You used to be chubby in middle school," which flustered Kang Yomi.
On her way home after parting with her friend, Kang Yomi, who felt full and decided to take a walk, was blown away by a strong wind. Followers who saw this reacted that Kang Yu-mi was satirizing eating disorders, which have recently become a social issue.
