Kyoungyoon of the group DKZ has declared a hiatus from his activities after being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and social phobia amidst the controversy surrounding the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS).

DKZ's agency, Dongyo Entertainment, provided an update on Gyeong-yoon's health status and future scheduled activities through their official fan cafe on the 19th.

The agency stated, "Kyoungyoon is deeply concerned about the issues surrounding him and is currently undergoing counseling and treatment. He has been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and social phobia by his primary physician, and plans to focus on treatment and recovery for the time being."

Regarding Gyeong-yoon's scheduled appearance on SBS Radio's 'Cultwo Show' on the 29th, the agency conveyed, "We have received notice that some people have repeatedly filed complaints (with Boseong County Office and the National Petition Center) requesting the cancellation of our artist's appearance. As a result, the five DKZ members (Sehyeon, Mingyu, Jaechan, Jonghyeong, and Giseok) will participate in the event. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change in the number of performers."

Lastly, the agency said, "The problems arising in relation to our artist are all due to our shortcomings. We are aware that our decisions, which we thought were the best at the time, may not please all fans. We will continue to prioritize the safety and protection of our artists when making decisions, and we will carefully consider gaining the love and support of fans."

The entertainment industry has been hit with the aftermath of the social controversy following the release of the Netflix documentary series " In The Name of God: A Holy Betrayal." It was revealed that the parents of DKZ's Kyoungyoon are followers of JMS. Dongyo Entertainment later stated that Kyoungyoon was also appalled by the content of the broadcast, and his family immediately ceased operations of their business, clarifying that they had left the group and would have no further involvement.

However, malicious comments continued to target Kyoungyoon. On the 6th, the agency announced a strong response. The agency said, "As a result of indiscriminate malicious postings and comments containing defamation, insults, sexual harassment, and the spread of false information about our artist, our artist, as well as the fans who cherish and support him, are suffering mental harm."

The agency continued, "We have secured evidence based on internal monitoring of various community sites and reports from fans. We have also requested legal action against those spreading baseless rumors and malicious slander about our artist last year, and criminal complaints are underway. We will continue to monitor the spread of false information and malicious slander and proceed with legal action, warning that we will respond strongly without any leniency or agreement."
