Stray Kids And (G)I-DLE To Perform On ‘Korea On Stage’ Concert + (G)I-DLE Takes Win For ‘DUMDi DUMDi’ On Show Champion
K-pop groups Stray Kids and (G)I-DLE are set to perform at a special concert hosted by the Korean Culture Heritage Foundation, KBS2’s “Korea on Stage – Suwon Hwaseong Fortress.”
The said concert where Stray Kids and (G)I-DLE will be performing is set to air on National Broadcasting Day this August 22, 7 PM KST, outside of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, one of Korea’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. “Korea on Stage” aims to promote Korean culture with performances of both modern K-pop and traditional singing, dancing, delicacies, and more.
Stray Kids and (G)I-DLE are joined by different musicians and traditional and modern singers such as Song So Hee, Kim Jun Soo, the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, and more perform at the “Korea on Stage” concert. The concert will be broadcast in 120 countries.
(G)I-DLE Bags First Award For ‘DUMDi DUMDi’
Meanwhile, girl group (G)I-DLE has managed to win an award with their comeback single “DUMDi DUMDi” on the show “Show Champion” on August 12. The group was up against Kpop artists such as Kang Daniel, ATEEZ, Lee Hi, and Jessi, but (G)I-DLE managed to win the award despite the competition.
After (G)I-DLE took the 1st place award, the girl group took the stage for an encore performance of their comeback single “DUMDi DUMDi.” The fans loved their live performance and commented on social media, saying that the group looked comfortable dancing to their hit single and has a clean live performance of the song.
Stray Kids Comeback
According to earlier reports, JYP Entertainment has confirmed that Stray Kids are preparing for a comeback in September. The record label stated that the boyband is working on an album right now. However, JYP Entertainment continued to say that the official release of the said album was not decided.
Other publication also states that Stray Kids will release the upcoming album as a reformed package of group’s latest album “Go Live,” which was released in June this year. With this, the K-pop idols will be making their comeback in three months.
