Court Backs Attrakt Again, Rejects Fifty Fifty's Appeal for Contract Suspension
The court has once again sided with Attrakt in the appeal.
According to a report from SportyTV News on October 24, the Seoul High Court Civil Division 25-2 (headed by Judges Kim Moon-seok, Jeong Jong-gwan, and Song Mi-kyung) dismissed the appeal submitted by Fifty Fifty members Saena (Jeong Se-hyun), Sio (Jeong Ji-ho), and Aran (Jeong Eun-ah) on this day.
Fifty Fifty had filed for a provisional disposition to suspend the validity of their exclusive contract with their agency, Attrakt. The court had rejected this application on August 28th. Dissatisfied with the decision, the members immediately filed an appeal. Among them, member Keena withdrew the appeal on October 16 and returned to the Attrakt agency.
Following the rejection of the provisional disposition application, the court once again sided with Attrakt in the appeal, not accepting the members' claims, including allegations of failure to settle accounts.
On October 19, Attrakt terminated the exclusive contracts of Saena, Sio, and Aran. Attract stated, "We took action due to the severe contract breaches of the three members of Fifty Fifty, for which there has been no rectification or remorse," and "Future responses regarding the members will be discussed."
The outsourced service company, The Givers, with its representative An Seong-il, believed to be behind Fifty Fifty's exclusive contract dispute, appeared for an initial investigation at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station this afternoon.
