Stray Kids Reportedly Having A Comeback In September
K-pop boy group Stray Kids may be gearing up for an upcoming comeback shortly with their record label, JYP Entertainment, recently commenting on their status.
According to reports, JYP Entertainment has confirmed that Stray Kids are preparing for a comeback in September. The record label stated that the boyband is working on an album right now. However, JYP Entertainment continued to say that the official release of the said album was not decided.
Other publications also state that Stray Kids will release the upcoming album as a reformed package of the group's latest album "Go Live," which was released in June this year. With this, the boy group will be making their comeback a few weeks from now.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids' fans also posted their concerns online, stating that repackage albums always come 2-3 months after the full album release, so they expected this already. One fan said that other JYPE artists have been making comebacks.
The 6th subunit's return is set this August, while Itzy is also set to return in August. JYP himself made a comeback recently, while TWICE will have a comeback in October. And adding to the list is Stray Kids' comeback in September, which is no surprise.
Stray Kids have recorded their best performance since the group's last album release, selling over 120,000 copies of the album in the first week. "Go Live" also ranked third on the daily sales chart in Japan' Tower Records, Sixth in the Billboard World Album Chart, and sixth on the World Digital Song Sales Chart.
Besides, the music video for "God's Menu" got 80 million views on Youtube in less than two months after the single's initial release, proving the group's popularity in both domestic and international waters. "God's Menu" is the title track for their album "Go Live."
Earlier this year, Stray Kids wasn't able to promote "Stray Kids World Tour 'District 9': Unlock" and hold their concert due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. The said concert was slated for Bangkok and Jakarta.
