FIFTY FIFTY Speaks Out on ‘Unanswered Questions’: 'Wish We Had Never Become Singers, We Won't Return to Attrakt'
The group FIFTY FIFTY has made their feelings of animosity towards their agency, Attrakt, clear.
On August 19th, during an episode of SBS's "Unanswered Questions," a family member of one of the FIFTY FIFTY members stated, "We wish we hadn't become singers. We don't want to go back (to Attrakt)."
Back in June, FIFTY FIFTY filed a motion to suspend their exclusive contract with Attrakt. The agency has pointed fingers at An Seong-il, the head of The Givers, a third-party producer, as the one behind the issues. An Seong-il is currently denying these allegations.
A family member of one of the FIFTY FIFTY members, who directly reached out to the producers of "Unanswered Questions," expressed their frustration, saying the situation "is overshadowed by rumors," and added, "It's absurd, but we held back and didn't respond."
They continued with a firm stance, "We wish we hadn't become singers. We don't want to return."
Jeon Jong-hwan, the head of Attrakt, who claimed to have been watching over the members even before their debut, shared his dismay. "I am deeply disappointed," he said, adding that, "The handover process took too long. As soon as I received the tasks, I checked the emails only to find that all six accounts had been deleted before being transferred to us," emphasizing that The Givers' manipulation was evident.
Director A, from The Givers, who holds the copyright for "Cupid," clarified, "This is a dispute between the agency and the artist. Why try to divert attention by using provocative terms like external forces, gaslighting, and tampering? Our involvement has nothing to do with this dispute."
