'Boys Planet' Lee Da-eul Apologizes for Immature Behavior, Promises Growth [Full Text]
Lee Da-eul, who was eliminated from Mnet's 'Boys Planet', has shared his thoughts on his participation in the show.
On the 5th, Lee Da-eul wrote a handwritten letter, expressing gratitude to everyone around the world for giving him such a precious experience.
Lee Da-eul stated, "First of all, I have wrapped up my time with the company I was with from the end of last year to recently, and now I want to move on from 'Boys Planet' and run towards a new dream with a mountain of emotions."
He continued, "During 'Boys Planet', there were painful and difficult situations, and I had a lot of concerns about participating due to my unsatisfactory skills. However, I was really happy to be able to learn and gain experience through spending time and practicing with good people who were pursuing the same dream, receiving support from the precious Star Creators, and receiving warm guidance from the Star Masters."
He added, "I sincerely apologize to the fans who may have been embarrassed and disappointed by my insufficient skills and immature behavior. It really hurt my heart when I thought of those who faced criticism for supporting me, and I vowed to become a better person in the future."
In conclusion, he promised, "I would like to express my gratitude to the Star Creators for their criticism and encouragement, and I promise to grow and develop even more. I have gained great strength and positive influence from those who believed in me, and those who have always watched and supported me. Meeting all of you has been a great blessing and fortune for me. As a result, I am confident that I can continue pursuing my dream without giving up or being afraid."
On the other hand, Lee Da-eul was embroiled in controversy over his character during the fourth episode of 'Boys Planet'. When his teammates suggested redistributing parts due to his lack of memorization of the lyrics and choreography, he responded, "If I change my part now, there would be no reason for me to have chosen you all."
Lee Seok-hoon commented, "Starting today, you need to get rid of the mindset of 'I'm just a trainee.' If you keep making mistakes on stage, you'll just be seen as someone who can't do it."
Subsequently, Lee Da-eul was eliminated at the second ranking announcement, finishing in 47th place.
The full letter from Lee Da-eul is as follows:
Hello! This is Lee Da-eul! Although my writing may fall short compared to the love and support I've received, I tried to write a letter in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese! Thank you to everyone around the world for giving me such a precious experience! As this is a handwritten letter, there might be some difficulties in reading it, but I hope for your understanding! I hope my sincerity in this letter reaches you all.
Hello! This is Lee Da-eul! First of all, since the end of last year, I've wrapped up my contract with the company I was part of, and I am now eager to leave my memories of Boys Planet behind and run toward a new dream!
There were painful and difficult situations while participating in Boys Planet, and I had many concerns about participating due to my unsatisfactory skills. However, I was truly happy to spend time with good people who shared the same dream, practice together, perform on stage, receive precious support from Star Creators, and warm teachings from Star Masters!
I would like to sincerely thank the directors, stylists, hair and makeup artists, interpreters, staff, and all the production crew and related personnel for allowing me to have such a valuable and precious experience.
Also, I sincerely apologize to the fans who were disappointed and confused by my lack of skills and immature behavior. When I think of those who were criticized for supporting me, my heart really hurts, and I made a commitment to become a better person in the future.
I want to express my gratitude for the criticism and encouragement from Star Creators and promise to grow and develop even more. I gained a lot of strength and positive influence from those who trusted me without judging me solely by my appearance, and from everyone who always watched and supported me.
Meeting all of you is a huge blessing and fortune for me. I am confident that I can continue my dream without giving up or being scared because of this. I will do my best to become a mature Lee Da-eul, who you can always trust and feel comfortable with, rather than an immature Lee Da-eul. I promise to repay the fans who trust and love me in any way I can!
The moon appears in various forms in the sky, such as the crescent moon, full moon, waning moon, old moon, and new moon. I will visit you again like the moon that comes when the time comes. Please look forward to what form I will take.
Like the moon, I may not always be visible, but I will always try to shine silently from where I am.
I sincerely hope that you will always be healthy and full of happiness! Have a good morning, a good day, a good afternoon, a good evening, and a comfortable day!
Sincerely,
Lee Da-eul, who wants to shine like the moon for all of you
