VERIVERY's Minchan To Take Hiatus Due To Mental Health Issues
VERIVERY's Minchan will be stepping out from the limelight. The idol has revealed that he will be taking a break from VERIVERY's promotional and group activities to concentrate on his health recovery.
On October 26, Monday, VERIVERY's managing label, Jellyfish Entertainment, had updated the fans and the public on Minchans's worsening mental anxiety. Jellyfish Entertainment added that this has continuously been occurring even while promoting their fifth mini-album 'FACE US' and even during their comeback. (via Soompi)
The label further added that Minchan went straight to have himself checked and treated in a medical institution. Minchan was given the adequate treatment and medication he needed.
Despite the prescriptions, Jellyfish Entertainment stressed that it is essential that VERIVERY's Minchan to take a break and have a rest from work and other commitments. After a lengthy discussion between the management and the K-pop Idol, they have concluded that he will take a temporary break from VERIVERY and promotional activities, to focus on healing and resting. The agency will update fans soon on Minchan's recovery progress and apologized for updating fans with sad news following their comeback.
