Shin Min Ah Gears Movie Comeback With New Athlete Role
36-year-old South Korean model and actress Shin Min Ah last appeared in 2014 as a lead actress for the romantic comedy movie entitled My Love, My Bride. The actress has been gracing various TV dramas, namely Tomorrow with You, Oh My Venus, and Chief of Staff.
For the time being, Shin Min Ah is working herself in full sweat as she prepares for her big-screen comeback debut.
According to Hellokpop, Diva is a thriller film about two female friends involved in a bizarre car accident. The lead actress, Shin Min Ah, plays the “Diva of the Diving World” Yi Young. Additionally, the role will tag along with her portrayal as a globally renowned and award-winning diver athlete. The part of Yi Young will be joined by the character of Lee Yoo Young as Su Jin, who is both divers and are very close friends.
HanCinema’s official Youtube channel released the movie’s main trailer, where it backs the story of the two friend’s involvement in a car accident. Su Jin goes missing after the agitating incident while Yi Young was brought to the hospital and suffered partial amnesia.
The mystery of how and why Su Jin got lost and where she can be found will disturb the mind and mental health state of Yi Young in the film. Furthermore, Shin Min Ah will act her version to the character, struggling with trauma, and how to get his everyday life back.
In an exclusive interview, Shin Min Ah only accepted the project because of its thrilling narrative. She instantly got attracted to it as it is a thriller film that comprises a strong storyline. “This kind of script capturing such stories of women are very rare,” she added.
The actress has revealed that she has prepared so much for the film as it does allow her to do such very often.
