Hwang Shi Mok And Han Yeo Jin Begin New Season Of 'Forest Of Secrets' With Compelling Case
"Stranger 2" has come to a new season and off to a good premiere of its first episode highlighting everything that has changed and the most important things that have remained the same.
"Stranger 2" kicks off with Prosecutor Hwang Shi Mok driving in Tongyeong beach during a foggy night. Amidst the fog, Hwang Shi Mok notices in the distance, the wailing of police sirens and a possible crime scene.
The crime scene is shown when a group of friends having a celebratory drive at the beach when one friend receives a car for his birthday. While resting at the driveway, his two drunk friends crossed a danger zone that caused an unfortunate death.
While the cause of death has been ruled out as an accident, Senior Inspector Han Yeo Jin (Bae Doo Na) noticed something odd as it connects to the incident and someone she follows on social media. The person that Senior Inspector Yeo Jin has been following on social media has the same penchant for figure collection that she has.
Upon browsing on the victim's page, there was a photo of them at Tongyeong Beach simultaneously as the drowning incident. In the posted photo, the restriction line was nowhere to be seen.
The "Stranger 2" opening has many questions to be asked. Could this be the overarching case of the season, similar to the serial murder that Prosecutor Hwang Shi Mok and Senior Inspector Han Yeo Jin had investigated in the previous season?
Moreover, Hwang Si-Mok is now the Criminal Legislation Division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. In the previous season, he was the Prosecutor at Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office.
"Stranger 2" had an impressive viewership number scoring 7.6 and 6.4 on nationwide viewership ratings, making it the highest premiere for a tvN drama this season and across all OTT platforms. The K-drama is streamed on Netflix and aired on tvN on Saturdays and Sundays 9 p. m. KST.
