BTS member J-Hope is set to release a new digital single titled MONA LISA.

The track will be unveiled on March 21 at 1 p.m. KST, marking J-Hope's second digital single this year following the release of Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel) on March 7-just two weeks ago.

Ahead of the release, J-Hope described MONA LISA via his agency BigHit Music as "a performance track I'm releasing after a long time." He added, "I prepared it as a gift for ARMY who wanted to see more performance, and I'm personally very excited about it."

As for what to listen for, J-Hope said, "There are lots of witty lyrics in this song, so listeners will find it easy and fun to enjoy. There are also playful sound effects sprinkled throughout the track-finding those details while listening will make it even more enjoyable."

J-Hope further shared insights into the production process: "When I first heard the song, I loved it, but I thought it might be hard for me to pull off. However, after working on it in Los Angeles and making adjustments to suit me, it surprisingly fit very well. The visuals came together naturally too, and I'm really satisfied with the result."

He continued, "It's a track completed through multiple revisions. I wanted to show fans another side of J-Hope and worked on it joyfully while thinking about the day I'd share it with ARMY. Now that the moment is finally here, I'm happy. I sincerely thank and love ARMY for always believing in me and waiting."

MONA LISA is a hip-hop R&B track that lightheartedly depicts being enamored by someone charming. It combines groovy rhythms, funky chords, and a vibrant, fizzy sound reminiscent of sparkling soda. A chant-style chorus in the latter half heightens the track's uplifting mood.

The title is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's legendary painting Mona Lisa, with J-Hope drawing parallels between an irresistible person and an iconic masterpiece. He sings that what moves hearts isn't outward beauty but the unique qualities each person holds.

With this release, J-Hope, BTS's dance leader and renowned "world-class" performer, once again showcases his artistry. MONA LISA highlights his signature hip vibe and chill choreographic style.

Meanwhile, J-Hope will perform MONA LISA on Mnet Digital Studio M2's official YouTube channel Studio Choom on March 22 at 6 p.m. KST. He will also continue his solo world tour j-hope Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' on March 23-24 at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
