YouTuber Lee Hee-chul from 'Mr. Househusband Season 2' Passes Away; Close Friend Poongja: 'I Can't Believe It'
YouTuber Lee Hee-chul (40), who appeared on Mr. Househusband Season 2, has passed away.
Broadcaster Poongja announced on her social media on the 7th, saying, "My dearly beloved Seoul Salon's Lee Hee-chul oppa has become a star in the sky today."
She continued, "Even as I write this, I can't believe it. But for those who loved oppa and close acquaintances who may not yet know the news, I'm leaving this message. Please pray that he may rest in a good place."
Poongja added, "This was so sudden that there are still many acquaintances I haven't been able to contact. If you reach out to me via DM or my contact number, I will provide information about the funeral arrangements."
Known as Poongja's close friend, Lee Hee-chul first gained recognition as a photographer. After appearing on KBS2's Mr. Househusband Season 2 last year, he launched his YouTube channel Lee Hee-chul's Vhee-log, drawing significant attention.
On December 31, Lee Hee-chul shared his hopes for the new year on social media. Reflecting on 2024, he wrote, "2024 was a year so challenging that it felt unbearable at times-physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. It was truly a tough year."
He went on to say, "But I know that pain teaches us lessons and helps us grow. I believe I will humbly and firmly overcome these challenges, and I am determined to let the year go with gratitude. For 2025, I hope we can all live healthier, more flexible lives and experience a year overflowing with gratitude."
Lee Hee-chul's sudden passing has shocked fans and acquaintances, who continue to express their condolences and disbelief.
