IVE's An Yujin faced a near-miss on stage, drawing significant attention from netizens.

Recent online communities and platforms have been buzzing about a performance by IVE during the '2023 Ulsan Summer Festival', which took place on the 5th. This particular stage was later broadcasted on the 12th through MBC's 'Show! Music Core', as part of a special episode dedicated to the '2023 Ulsan Summer Festival'.

During the event, alongside IVE, popular artists such as Kwon Eunbi, Jo Yuri, and Zerobaseone graced the stage, adding their star power to the festival. IVE, in particular, gave a mesmerizing performance of their track "I AM" towards the end of the show.

Their usual powerful and energetic performance dominated the venue, garnering rapturous applause. However, a sudden hiccup arose when, during the line "1,2,3 fly up", a massive firework went off. The smoke from the firework entered An Yujin's eyes, causing her to momentarily close them.

For roughly 10 seconds in the video, An Yujin can be seen performing with her eyes shut, occasionally grimacing due to the discomfort. When her part came around again, she swiftly rubbed her eyes and continued her performance like the true professional she is.

Interestingly, this exact moment was conspicuously absent from the 'Music Core' broadcast. The scene where the firework went off showed a wide shot, and when An Yujin was seen performing with her eyes closed, it was captured in a solo shot of member Liz. Only when Yujin was rubbing her eyes and resuming her performance did the camera focus on her, making it almost impossible for viewers to guess the ordeal she faced.

Regardless of how glamorous and engaging a performance is, the safety of artists performing on stage should be the top priority.
