Jisoo, Minji, and Lisa Lead the Top Three in July's Female K-Pop Solo Brand Rankings
BLACKPINK's Jisoo, NewJeans' Minji, and BLACKPINK's Lisa have topped the individual female K-pop brand reputation rankings for July. As per the big data analysis for July 2023, BLACKPINK's Jisoo ranked first, followed by NewJeans Minji in second place and BLACKPINK's Lisa in third.
The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 112,364,268 pieces of big data from June 16 to July 16, 2023, for the female K-pop solo brand reputation, a decrease of 6.25% compared to 119,856,004 pieces of data in June. This analysis covers 635 K-pop female soloists, measuring various factors such as consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness to determine the brand reputation index.
The brand reputation index, an indicator created through big data analysis, reveals how consumers' online habits greatly influence brand consumption. Through the female K-pop solo brand reputation analysis, one can measure the positive and negative evaluations of individual K-pop female artists' brands, media interest, consumer interest, and communication volume. The analysis also included a brand value evaluation, which measures brand influence.
The top 30 for the July 2023 female K-pop solo brand reputation rankings are as follows: BLACKPINK's Jisoo, NewJeans' Minji, BLACKPINK's Lisa, IVE's An Yujin, aespa's Karina, BLACKPINK's Jennie, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, NewJeans Hanni, OH MY GIRL's Mimi, (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, BLACKPINK's Rosé, Girls' Generation's Yoona, NewJeans' Danielle, TWICE's Mina, TWICE's Sana, LUNARSOLAR's Kazuha, aespa's Winter, NewJeans' Haerin, LUNARSOLAR's Kim Chaewon, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, Red Velvet's Joy, IVE's Liz, TWICE's Nayeon, LUNARSOLAR's Heo Yunjin, TWICE's Jeongyeon, Cosmic Girls' Yeoreum, Red Velvet's Wendy, TWICE's Dahyun, Red Velvet's Yeri, and Girls' Generation's Sunny.
BLACKPINK's Jisoo, who claimed the top spot, scored 141,898 in the participation index, 156,784 in the media index, 1,228,481 in the communication index, and 2,535,170 in the community index, with a total brand reputation index of 4,062,331. This was an 18.32% decrease from her June score of 4,973,710.
In second place, NewJeans' Minji had a participation index of 714,702, media index of 642,842, communication index of 1,076,990, and community index of 1,290,503, resulting in a total brand reputation index of 3,725,037. Compared to her June brand reputation index of 2,397,519, this is a rise of 55.37%.
In third place, BLACKPINK's Lisa had a participation index of 160,769, a media index of 556,493, a communication index of 1,052,157, and a community index of 1,620,055. Her total brand reputation index came to 3,389,474, a 27.30% increase from her June score of 2,662,590.
"BLACKPINK's Jisoo has claimed the top spot in the female K-pop solo brand reputation for July 2023," said Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute. He further explained that compared to the 119,856,004 pieces of big data in June, there was a 6.25% decrease. In more detail, there was a 1.81% decrease in brand consumption, 8.65% decrease in brand issues, 8.51% decrease in brand communication, and 4.83% decrease in brand diffusion.
In the link analysis for BLACKPINK's Jisoo, who ranked first in the July 2023 female K-pop solo brand reputation, high-ranking phrases like "glamorous", "chic", "breakthrough" were found. In the keyword analysis, "photo shoot", "game", and "YouTube" ranked high. In the positive and negative ratio analysis, the positive ratio was 86.21%. Compared to her June brand reputation index of 4,973,710, this is an 18.32% decrease. A detailed analysis showed a decrease of 30.74% in brand consumption, 26.94% decrease in brand issues, 4.02% decrease in brand communication, and 22.57% decrease in brand diffusion.
