There's growing speculation surrounding the recent death of Korean internet broadcaster (BJ) Ayoung in Cambodia.

On June 13th, Seung Jae-Hyun, Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Institute of Criminal Justice Policy, appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-Jung's News Show'.

Seung raised the first question: "Why didn't she go to a Korean hospital? If it's really urgent, you can find a Korean hospital on the internet. The reason why she went to a foreign hospital where communication was difficult needs to be clarified."

He continued, "Serum injections are usually given to activate the body's immunity when you have diseases like malaria or tetanus. What symptoms did the deceased have and what did she tell the hospital about them, what did the doctor prescribe? We need to delve into these issues. These negligent incidents are called medical accidents, but we have to wait for the investigation of the Cambodian police to determine whether it's an 'accident' or an 'incident.'"

Furthermore, Seung remarked, "A medical accident at a hospital is a very bad occurrence that cannot happen at the wrong place. Even in Cambodia, if they dumped the body in a very distant place that takes an hour to reach, there must have been a reason to hide it."

Recalling the mysterious accident involving Seo Se-Won in Cambodia last April, he said, "We respect the wishes of the bereaved families. But if this is not an 'accident' but an 'incident', it means the victim died unfairly. We need to clarify her cause of death. Whether it was a side effect from the serum injection that became a problem, or if it was something else, don't we need to understand her death more carefully?"

Finally, Seung emphasized, "Local media are reporting severe beatings and swelling on the found body. Swelling can occur from a serum injection or from decomposition of the body. But reports of a broken neck are completely different from assault and drug side effects. To break a part of the body, an external force is necessary, which cannot happen during a seizure from an injection." This further stresses that her death could be a 'Byeonsa' (an unexpected accident leading to death).

Meanwhile, a Korean woman was recently found dead in a ditch near the Mekong River in Cambodia. Local coverage revealed it to be BJ Ayoung. She went on a trip on the 2nd and visited a hospital on the 4th, but her body was found just two days later.

There are reports of a companion, but there's no statement yet. Seung suggested, "The companion may be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. They are not considered a suspect, but cooperation with the investigation would be appreciated."
