ENHYPEN Breaks Personal Best with 4th Place on Billboard 200
The boy band ENHYPEN has set a new personal record on the main album chart, 'Billboard 200', in the United States.
According to a chart preview article posted on the official website of American music media Billboard on June 11th (local time), ENHYPEN's (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, Niki) fourth mini-album 'DARK BLOOD' has entered the 'Billboard 200' (dated June 17th) at 4th place. ENHYPEN not only broke their personal record by achieving a position two steps higher than the 6th place of their third mini-album 'MANIFESTO: DAY 1', but they also entered the 'Top 5' on this chart for the first time since their debut.
With this, ENHYPEN has made it to the 'Billboard 200' with five consecutive albums released in South Korea, starting with their second mini-album 'BORDER: CARNIVAL'. From 'BORDER: CARNIVAL' (18th place) to the first full album 'DIMENSION: DILEMMA' (11th place), the repackage album 'DIMENSION: ANSWER' (14th place), 'MANIFESTO: DAY 1' (6th place), and this time's 'DARK BLOOD', ENHYPEN has shown step-by-step growth, continuing to expand their global influence.
ENHYPEN has been proving their popularity, especially in North America, through various activities. They are scheduled to hold six city, seven performance 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'FATE'' in North America this coming October and will make their debut in a stadium venue with the LA concert at Dignity Health Sports Park. Additionally, they have ventured into American animation for the first time as a K-pop boy group by appearing as characters in the 'Pinkfong Baby Shark' movie and last year, they threw the first pitch at an LA Dodgers home game in the American Major League Baseball (MLB) in honor of 'Korean Cultural Heritage Day', showcasing their activities in various fields.
'DARK BLOOD' sold over 1.32 million copies in its first week of release based on the Hanteo Chart, breaking ENHYPEN's record for first-week album sales. In Japan, the album has achieved a cumulative shipment of over 100,000 copies based on the May shipment, earning a gold disc 'Gold' certification. Thus, ENHYPEN is continuing the 'HYBE 4th Generation Whirlwind'.
