Amber, a former member of the K-pop group f(x), is garnering attention after exposing the misconduct of her ex-boyfriend while interacting with her fans in China.

According to Chinese media outlets such as Sina.com on the 7th, Amber recently hosted a live broadcast on the Chinese video site Bilibili, where she engaged in a candid conversation with her subscribers.

During the session, Amber candidly revealed her past romantic relationships, saying, "I've met a lot of bad guys. I'm glad I can speak in the past tense," and "I don't think I've found the right person yet."

She continued, "If I don't feel confident or secure about someone because of my work, I tend to refrain from going public with my relationship. However, a few people I've dated in the past didn't want a secret relationship."

Amber confessed that she had been gaslit (psychologically manipulated) by one of her ex-boyfriends. She said, "An ex-boyfriend exploited me for money, and I almost went bankrupt. Even so, he made me feel like I was the bad person when we broke up and my self-esteem suffered. I think I was gaslit."

She added, "At that time, I didn't realize I was being gaslit until friends advised me to prioritize myself. I was always the one spending money, and I felt guilty about it."

Amber further mentioned, "This story is also behind my song 'Don't Dance'." The lyrics of this song include, 'All you want is my money and attention'. Amber stated, "I was nice to everyone because I wanted to be, but now I'm tired of it. Still, I want to remain a good person."

Amber's candid confession about her ex-partners is virtually the first time she has opened up about her personal life since her debut in 2009. Although she has been loved for her honest and confident persona, she had never revealed her private life, resulting in an outpouring of support and encouragement from fans.

After debuting with f(x), Amber gained popularity with unique genre songs such as 'La Cha Ta', 'Pinocchio', 'Nu ABO', 'Electric Shock', 'Rum Pum Pum Pum', and was particularly popular for her androgynous looks. She also gained attention in variety shows, with her participation in MBC's 'Real Men - Female Soldier Special 2' in 2015 as a notable example.

Amber has been conducting solo activities at home and abroad since her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment expired in 2019. Currently, she is appearing on Mango TV's 'Victory 2023', a Chinese survival audition program where women over 30 challenge to re-debut, and is gaining popularity with high rankings.
