BTS Jungkook has claimed the top spot on the 'Fan-Voted Weekly Popular K-Pop Ranking' with his self-composed song, 'My You'.
'My You' was selected as number one through voting on the 'POP-K TOP10 Friday' poll conducted by IDOLCHAMP and the Japanese radio program, TOKYO FM, from May 22nd to May 28th, earning 40.15% of the votes.
Following Jungkook in the ranking, Kang Daniel secured second place with 'Joy Ride' (38.72%), Jimin's 'Like Crazy' landed third (7.14%), Chen's 'Before the Petals Fall' came in fourth (5.27%), ONEUS' 'ERASE ME' was fifth (1.44%), ENHYPEN's 'Salty' secured sixth (1.19%), TEMPEST's 'Dangerous' took seventh (0.76%), IZ*ONE's 'FIESTA' was eighth (0.74%), Seventeen's 'Sun Wukong (Super)' ranked ninth (0.69%), and UNIT's 'WATERFALL' rounded off the top 10 (0.63%). Despite being a free tribute song, 'My You' achieved first place, showcasing Jungkook's formidable music power and substantial global popularity.
Songs that achieve first place on the 'Fan-Voted Weekly Popular K-Pop Ranking' receive dedicated feature segments during the radio broadcast (every Friday) and are set to be introduced on the official website and various media outlets.
'My You' was first revealed last June via the official BTS YouTube channel, BANGTANTV, with the title 'My You by Jung Kook #2022BTSFESTA'. The video has garnered over 30 million views since its release.
On the day of its YouTube debut, 'My You' accumulated over 8.75 million views and received more than 1.92 million likes, rising to the top of the 'Most Viewed Videos Worldwide'. Furthermore, it trended in 53 countries on YouTube, boasting exceptional global popularity as it achieved second place on the global popular music video list and first place on the US popular video list.
